This installation guide redesign began with a user study and pain points assessment. Solutions include the exploded parts view below to help orient users and the introduction of a multi-purpose template to help users locate the correct track placement without use of a tape measure.

Users struggled to correctly position the door track during installation using a tape measure to mark greater than 80＂.
I introduced a template card for use in conjunction with the kit’s wooden mounting board, improving installation success and efficiency.
In addition to helping locate mounting board wall placement for drywall installation, the template also helps locate track placement onto the wooden mounting board. For concrete wall installation, the template helps locate track placement directly onto the wall.
